Fertility Dost Bags Government Grant for its Commendable Social Initiatives
MediaFertilityDost Awarded Government Grant for Social Initiatives
At a program conducted by Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment (WEE), Fertility Dost was awarded a gold medal and a government grant to continue in its efforts to raise social awareness and for shattering the social stigma surrounding the fertility issues in India.
WEE is an initiative by IIT Delhi and supported by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. WEE is a first-of-a-kind national initiative to support and strengthen women to embrace entrepreneurship as a career option, irrespective of the age barriers.
WEE chooses 30 women entrepreneurs every year to mentor them for a period of six months from the pool of applications from women all over India. At the end of this program, the women are given an opportunity to pitch to some of the most eminent personalities from IIT Delhi and DST.
In this program, our founder, Gitanjali Banerjee, was chosen to be one among the 30 women for mentoring and grooming for the entrepreneurial activities. At the end of six months, she pitched to the panel of distinguished personalities about the purpose and the visions of Fertility Dost. From this, Fertility Dost was chosen for the government grant and a gold medal for its vision in breaking the barriers in the society about the infertility problems and to support the social initiatives it has taken.
Fertility Dost has extended its support to over 5000 women all over India who are dealing with fertility issues. We are also currently coming up with a mobile app so that women can get all their help related to fertility issues at a touch on their mobile phones.
